What is weight training?
Weight training is a common type of strength training for developing the strength and size of skeletal muscles. It uses the force of gravity (in the form of weighted bars, dumbbells or weight stacks) to oppose the force generated by muscle through concentric or eccentric contraction. Weight training uses a variety of specialized equipment to target specific muscle groups and types of movement.
Weight training differs from bodybuilding, Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, and strongman, which are sports rather than forms of exercise. Weight training, however, is often part of the athlete's training regimen

EXCERCISE OF THE MONTH: CABLE CHEST PRESS
Main Muscle: Chest
Im going to be trying these for a while, Its great to change up your excercises every once in a while! Keep your body guessing!
- Position dual pulleys to chest height and select an appropriate weight. Stand a foot or two in front of the cables, holding one in each hand. You can stagger your stance for better stability.
- Position the upper arm at a 90 degree angle with the shoulder blades together. This will be your starting position.
- Keeping the rest of the body stationary, extend through the elbows to press the handles forward, drawing them together in front of you.
- Pause at the top of the motion, and return to the starting position.
