Fitness has been many things to me. It started out being an outlet.. I used it to positively change my mood! I remeber being pretty young,, and I was in my room,, mad about something. I had a set of dumbells under my bed,, so I picked them up and stated lifting... That was over twenty some years ago! I never stopped!
I continued to lift mainly because of how it made me feel. I have control over the iron,, it creates strength, can clear the mind and those are very positive reaction!
Now that I'm becoming older, fitness has changed.. I still lift to be strong,, to help me do things around the farm, to accomplish some of the many projects I take on,, but also to stay healthy, and mobile. I have always been very active, and I don't intend to slow down any time soon. Strength training is a huge factor in this,, Staying mobile,, moving without effort can become slowly out of reach,, but if you stay active,, it will stay with you longer !
