BECOMING
Many people call what they go through a transformation, I look at it more as a journey. I started years ago, and will contiue to improve. My journey began a long time ago. The first time I can remeber working out was when I was still living at home with my mom and dad. I had a pair of dumbells under my bed, and when I got mad I would pump iron. It helpped me feel better instantly!
` My intrests then turned into nutrition. I had planned on going to school to become a nutritionist. Plans didnt work out the way I thought they would. I ended up having a family instead. Three beautiful kids to be exact. I worked out on and off between each kid. My intrests in weight training grew. I decided to get certified as a fitness trainer. Of course I passed my test with flying colors!
` I made use of my certifications at the local gym. I trained few people, but used most of what i learned to work on myself. I was then roped into teaching aerobics at an all womens fitness studio. Now I am not comfortable with being in front of a lot of people. I ended up really enjoying it. I had a wonderful group of women, who were so willing to work toward their goals.
I tought class for about 2 years, right up untill I found out i was 6 months pregnant with my 3rd kid. Yes i was not aware I was pregnant untill I was already 6 months pregnant. I tought over 6 classes a week, and was in great shape! I kept teaching until about 4 days before delivering. I felt great.
Things went south when I was unable to workout for 6 weeks after delivering. Somehow all the chicken sandwiches and french fries were not staying off my hips or thighs. So of course I threw myself back into the gym. Full on weight training! Because thats what I love! I have really changed ,my body for the better. I have become stonger physically and mentally. I am more confident than I have ever been, and I feel great! So why stop now?
`I plan on continuing this Journey. I have made fitness a part of my life, and now Im teaching my kids to live healthy. My son eats extra vegetables because they make him strong, and my girls love being active, and playing tennis with the family. This Journey is no where near over. I will strive to better myself everyday, and to pass on what I have learned to whomever wants to listen!
So where does your Journey begin? What made you want to live the fitness lifestyle? Where do you want to go with it? Just remember that its not a transformation,, Its a Journey. Make it a great one!!
